Been struggling with the confronting vision of Gaddafi’s last moments.
Horrible, gruesome and yet so fascinating to watch a man who caused so much pain meet such an indignant end.
This is war and by protecting the audience do we gloss over the brutality of it?
While we were in Libya for the start of the uprising we showed vision of people dancing in the street but didn’t/ couldn’t show the headless pilots shot down or the scalp of a victim in a former headquarters.
Watching an uprising from afar can fit the romantic notion of good conquering evil.
I guess this vision shows its true bloody nature, even if many would argue the subject deserved it.
